Morning Joe’s Mika Responds To Trump’s Sexist, Childish Bullying Perfectly

Why do we even have to run stories like this? Oh, yeah, Trump.

Donald Trump is the US President, that is what moves his blatant childish bullying from the level of asinine attention seeking to abnormal and dangerous. When the president gets mad about critical reporting, he attacks the news outlet (such as trying to hurt Amazon by tying them to the Washington Post) or even the news person. However, when that person happens to be female, the attacks turn decidedly sexist, just ask Megyn Kelly and Mika Brzezinski, the co-host of  “Morning Joe.”

Trump obviously let the morning show get under his skin, tweeting out this tantrum:

“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came…..to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”

As News and Guts put it on Facebook: “We aren’t attorneys, but we are interested to see reaction from Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. Should they brush it off as “locker room talk”, take a stand or seek legal action?”

The blatant difference in the way that he attacks the two hosts is that he maligns Joe’s “sanity,” but when it comes to “Morning Joe” co-host Mika, he literally opens the floodgates: her looks, intelligence, and sanity. The sexism, cruelty, and juvenile style of his attack isn’t something you have to twist his words to find, it is on the surface, right in the open. This is not normal.

According to the Washington Post, MSNBC responded:

“It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job.”

It seems that Mika has decided how to respond, also, in the short term, at least, and it is perfectly in kind:

What was it that set him off? Well, this is the last video posted on Mika’s timeline, it seems that reporting on Trump’s hubristic display of Time Magazine covers that never happened may be what pushed his silly attacks.

Simply telling the truth about the president of the United States can get you attacked. The truth. (“Animal Farm” is still required reading in schools right? If it isn’t, it should be.)

As for Trump’s apparent claims of rebuffing social advances by the two, well, that just doesn’t seem to stand up to reality. (Gee, that is a familiar theme in this White House…) It was widely reported that the pair was seeking to set up an interview with Trump, not seeking his exalted company. WaPo called it “dubious”:

For one thing, the New York Times spotted the co-hosts at Trump’s New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago. For another, Scarborough followed the report of their appearance by angrily protesting any suggestion that he and Brzezinski were trying to cozy up to the president-elect.

That’s not the behavior of someone who wants to be seen as Trump’s pal.

It is becoming very clear, when Trump is mad, he says stupid, childish, and rude things that belittle others. Things that we would all find inappropriate and sad from a person in their late teens, let alone their 70s. Worse than that, this is the person that is the “face” of our nation. He is also the role model for every child in this country, for the next four years, he will be featured on the news. He will be in classrooms, his words and actions seen by our children, all of whom will see this as the actions of a president, when they are not, they are not normal. They are not presidential.

This all does beg the question, after his “blood coming from her wherever” comments about Megyn Kelly, and now his “bleeding” comment about Mika Brezinsky, is Trump afraid of actual women or just female blood?
