Trump continues to deny almost every ridiculous thing that comes out of his mouth. From saying he is smart when he dodges taxes to stating he knows nothing about David Duke, it looks like Trump is putting Politifacts’ Truth-O-Meter to the test to see if he can break it. Fox’s Megyn Kelly calls him out on yet another of his missteps during the third presidential debate.
He also denies stating that some women just aren’t pretty enough for him to sexually assault.
“I did not say that.”
In regards to one of his alleged victims Trump has stated at a rally “Look at her, look at her words. You tell me what you think. I don’t think so.” And again at another rally “When you looked at that horrible woman last night you said ‘I don’t think so, I don’t think so.” He continues mocking the woman ” ‘I was sitting with him on an airplane, and he went after me.’ Yeah I’m going to go after you. Believe me she would not be my first choice. That I can tell you.”
During the debate the former Secretary of State held his feet to the fire and called him out on his statements. Mr. Trump summarily denied the allegations. He must think we live in an era where everything a Presidential candidate says isn’t on the record. He must think the public too stupid to Google search his statements. We already know he thinks Iowans are stupid.
Trump currently leads Clinton by 4 points in Iowa, according to The Des Moines Register.
Megyn Kelly Takes On Trump
Megyn Kelly was having none of the denial. She pulled no punches on air with Fox News post debate, calling Trump out on his statements.
Of course the former corporate defense attorney has faced backlash recently from her co-workers at Fox. Sean Hannity took to Twitter recently throwing his colleague under the bus to their conservative audience.
However Ms. Kelly has been rather non-partisan in her reporting of both Presidential candidates. Something many at Fox could take a lesson from considering their claim to being ‘Fair and Balanced’.
