Christiane Amanpour On Clinton And Sexism: ‘Can’t A Girl Have A Sick Day?’ (VIDEO)

Last weekend, the mainstream media was behaving like ‘6-year-olds playing soccer‘ when Hillary Clinton fell visibly ill during a September 11th tribute ceremony. Clinton tried to weather the storm but after 90 minutes in the heat, she was forced to leave the ceremony and retreat to her daughter Chelsea’s New York apartment to recover.  Several hours after the incident, it was revealed that Clinton had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.

Instantly the alt-right conspiracy machine wheels began to turn. That is to be expected. What perhaps wasn’t so expected was the credence that the legitimate news outlets gave the conspiracists. It was if Hillary Clinton was the first person in human history to try to work while being sick. No mention of her desire to push on through the illness. Instead, reports were slathered with alt-right conspiracy theories about the former Secretary of State’s health and trumped up accusations about ‘transparency.’

Transparency? I’ll take someone trying to work while battling a bad cold or flu over someone who won’t release his tax returns and only medical information released turned out to be pretty much a joke of a letter written in about five minutes.

One reporter did manage to cut through the nonsense, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.

But surely this can’t be a case of a human being having an off day. Nope, like so many things Hillary, the media are having a field day, Off to the races with another debilitating case of indignant outrage. This must be another typical Clinton conspiracy to fool them with a total transparency break down. Talk about a transparency break down, what about Donald Trump’s tax returns – where are they? Can’t a girl have a sick day or two? Don’t get me started because when it comes to overqualified women having to try a hundred times harder than unqualified men to get a break or even a level playing field, well, we know that story.

Amanpour went on to describe how the media who is so ‘outraged’ about Clinton yet that same ‘media’ shielded many male Presidents when they had health issues or simply didn’t care. The double standard is obvious and is what people probably should be more outraged about.
