More than a year after the U.S. intelligence community warned American voters that the Russians were meddling in our election process, evidence of just how extensive the influence campaign was continues to emerge. The latest revelation includes Russian agents posing as part of the Black Lives Matter movement in order to fuel racial division leading up to Election Day.
“The campaign, titled “Don’t Shoot Us,” offers new insights into how Russian agents created a broad online ecosystem where divisive political messages were reinforced across multiple platforms, amplifying a campaign that appears to have been run from one source — the shadowy, Kremlin-linked troll farm known as the Internet Research Agency,” according to CNN.
Twitter, Facebook, Google, Youtube, Tumblr, and the popular Pokemon Go app were among the platforms used by the Kremlin-linked trolls to spark racial discord.
U.S. officials are unclear about the reasons behind including the Pokemon Go app, and pseudo Black Lives Matter trolls in their election meddling scheme, apart from it being yet another tentacle in a massive propaganda scheme.
Trump has continuously claimed that the Russians had nothing to do with his electoral college victory, likely out of fear that an admission of such facts would de-legitimize his feckless presidency.
Actually…It was Russia that made him President. They CHEATED you, Hillary.https://t.co/VV1maw5oyq

The question remains, could Trump have won without help from the Russians? As more and more evidence of Russian meddling comes out, the answer appears to be ‘No.’
