Ixnay On The Hombre: How Trump Lost On Immigration

Trump V Clinton Immigration

In what has been widely acclaimed as the best moderated debate of the cycle, it would seem the former Secretary laid waste to her opponent on Wednesday. With facts in hand, Mrs. Clinton truly feared no foe.

We Got Some Bad Hombres Here

During the debate Mr. Trump tanked on immigration. And it wasn’t just because he thinks “bigly” is a word in the English language.

“If we claim we are for family, then we have to pull together and resolve the outstanding issues around our broken immigration system. The American people support comprehensive immigration reform not just because it’s the right thing to do—and it is—but because they know it strengthens families, strengthens our economy, and strengthens our country. … We can’t wait any longer for a path to full and equal citizenship.” – Hillary Clinton

The Donald claims that the former Secretary of State wants to allow amnesty. This simply has no basis in reality regarding what she has said or what she has done.

Amnesty has been a fear-casting card for the neo-cons over the last several years. So has gun grabbing and so has the invasion of Texas. Neither of these components has the slightest ring of truth despite the wretched cries from the abattoir of fear we tend to hear in the conservative death rattle.

So is the Presi- I mean former Secretary offering amnesty? No she isn’t. What she is offering is a leg up. A way to become qualified American citizens. So why is Trump against immigrants?

Step Into The House That Trump Built.

When it comes to getting it wrong this election year, our very own Charlie Barrel had no problem pointing out one of his many failings. Trump can’t stop hiring the people he condemns to build his own properties.  Mrs. Clinton called him right out and cooled his heels like a pie on the sill for using Chinese steel to build his Las Vegas hotel.

His excuse that the politicians have allowed his transgressions is moot. If he was genuinely a man of principle this would not be a necessary defense. Fallacy 101.

“I don’t want to rip families apart.”

The former First Lady admits to not wanting to tear parents away from their children. Could you imagine the travesty? Can you imagine having your mother ripped out of your life and tossed to the wind half a world away?

Sounds like a human being gets it.

That human isn’t Trump. As far as even understanding a C-section or women’s’ health issue, the man seems to fall short of Presidential material. Or even human material.
