Alleged BLM Disruptor, Marissa Jenae, Admits To Being Former Palin Supporter

Marissa Jenae, one of the two people associating themselves with BlackLivesMatter, was found to have posted some strange things on her Facebook account very recently. In one statement, she says that she used to be supporter of Sarah Palin, and in another she said (in July of this year) that the GOP should have started “grooming” her long ago, and now they have to see her working for the “other side”. Screenshots of these come directly from her Facebook page.

To me, this is extremely strange. First we get the official people behind BLM disavowing these interrupters and saying they support Sanders, then we have BLM asking the interrupters to apologize to Bernie, and now we have this taken directly from one of their own Facebook pages. Why would someone who just a few years ago supported Sara Palin against the nation’s first black president, now suddenly flip so quickly to this? I can understand when someone is young they can make mistakes or be led astray on a bad ideological course. I was this same way when I was young to some degrees because of where I grew up and the people I was exposed to. But, she ONLY POSTED THIS RECENTLY. Literally less than 1 month ago. Racism, both overt and institutional, and brutality against people of color by corporate police and the prison industrial complex was a very real thing when Obama took office. Yet she was a Palin supporter back then, and only a few days ago was getting wistful and wishful of the idea that the GOP would have “groomed” her when she was younger before she switched to the “other side”.

What exactly is this person, her and her associates’ real agenda, and who is supporting them?

Full credit to Blue State Bandit for the following, from Democratic Underground. BSB has said this perfectly so I quote:

If you’re going to accuse white liberals of racism, and target the only presidential candidate, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders with a 40 year track record of standing up for #BlackLivesMatter you might not want people to know that “I had a Sarah Palin button on my backpack” or admit that the GOP could have “groomed you more”. Because now you look disingenuous at best, and an agent provocateur at worse.#FeelTheBern #BlackLivesMatter2Bernie #SarahPalinButtonReally #BLMjoinBernie #NativeAmericanLivesMatter #Ismellcointelpro

Friends, there is something very wrong about all of this. I can’t say exactly what is going on here but I will risk a guess that BLM is being co-opted by some rogue provocateurs, who are using their movement as a personal springboard for themselves for whatever ends are unknown at this point as of now. Whether it is 15 minutes of fame, more social media followers, or they are being paid by some other camp, who really knows? I do know though that bernie is the only common denominator in these situations so far, and he is the ONLY serious populist threat to both the democratic and republican establishment.

Bernie is drawing record crowds non stop and has zero signs of any slowing momentum. First the media blacks him out, and now we get what seems to be chronic protesters showing up. This is personal and it is against Bernie and it needs to be called out and completely disavowed by people who really want to fight for racial equality. We can’t just have a militant, single issue candidate, because racism and inequality is a very broad and deep abyss. Bernie has also had a 50 year track record fighting for civil rights, and I am SICK TO DEATH of hearing people saying that the last 50 years of his dam life mean nothing.

Bernie walked with Dr King. If you are saying the past did not matter for Bernie when he walked with him, then you are saying the past did not matter for Dr King. Period.

Some people are saying that the entire BLM movement is complicit in this, but I think that might be a stretch. I think that some people see coattails to start riding, and they are riding them for attention for themselves, just like a certain handful of other members of the monetized Professionally Offended social media class. Personally I am all for BLM, and this is not a rant against them, because black lives do matter too. However, if you take the ONLY candidate who has come out strongly for both criminal justice reform, AND economic reforms to combat two of the biggest institutional sources of racism that exist, and make him look like bad news, you are probably not to be trusted.

One thing to always remember about the revolutionary class, is that if they resolve their issues, they stop being a class and return to being regular people. This is a bad end for some of them who become hooked on the attention, media drama, and possible money that can be a result of being associated with underdog progressive movements. Always always, when you see someone taking the forefront of an issue for themselves be skeptical and look into the greater context of their actions and how they might be benefiting from it. Currently I think these few are doing a disservice to the movement they claim to be working for.
