SNL: Scarlett Johansson Is Perfect Parodying A “Complicit” Ivanka Trump (Video)

This week’s Saturday Night Live (11:30 pm eastern on NBC) featured host Scarlett Johansson. In one of their segments, Johansson did an impression of Ivanka Trump that few could pull off. Johansson certainly looked the part and possesses all the style and grace to mimic the President’s daughter. The opening of the segment begins with a narrator telling us that she is a woman who all the men know her name, and the women know her face. She’s Ivanka.

The narrator goes on to describe her as beautiful, powerful — and complicit.

She knows what she wants. She knows what she’s doing — Complicit.

“She doesn’t crave the spotlight” the narrator continues, “but we see her — oh, we see her.” As that line plays, a mirror shows her seeing her father Donald Trump in the reflection.

“A feminist, an advocate, a champion for women – but like how?” The voice asks as SNL regulars playing other women at the party seem to question the same thing. “She’s loyal, devoted — but probably should have bounced after the whole Access Hollywood bus thing — oh well” The narrator then points out that she probably thinks she’s Rose when she watches Titanic. No, she’s Billy Zane. The other girls mock her and laugh.

Complicit — the fragrance for the woman who could stop all this — but won’t. The tagline concludes.

Scarlett Johansson is brilliant parodying her and the ad has that great feel of all those uber-pretentious perfume ads. By the end, we know that she is Ivanka and she is Complicit.

Johannson hosted to promote her new movie, Rough Night, which also features SNL cast stand-out, Kate McKinnon. You can check out the no holds barred trailer for the movie, which opens on June 16th, 2017.
