Bill Maher: It Takes A Village Of Liars And Deniers To Keep Trump In Power (Video)

Bill Maher opened his New Rules finale this week by asking the hypothetical question of a parent being asked 20 years from now, by their child, “what did you do during the Trump years, daddy?” You don’t want your answer to be “my job was to go on TV and pretend Trump didn’t say what everyone just heard him say.”

That, as Maher stated, “is an enabler.”

He threw out a few other examples of enablers. Like Elvis’s “Memphis Mafia” and whomever Bill Cosby had around to supply him women and drugs.

He also used a famous movie example. Sunset Boulevard’s Norma Desmond had her “Max” to keep the world beautiful for her. The story is one of an aging and unstable drama queen. Trump must have a room full of “Max’s.”

Instead of “Max” writing fake fan letters to keep Desmond in her delusional state, Trump has Devin Nunes to lie for him and cancel hearings that might make him look bad. He also has his handlers — who send him to rallies where he only has to see his rabid fans who cheer anything he says. Trump also has Mike Pence. Pence is more than happy to forego his “Christian values” when it comes to obtaining power through Trump as he defended him for “grabbing pu$$ies.” Another one who did the same was Jeff Sessions, who, when asked if unwelcome groping was “sexual assault” he replied “I don’t know, it’s not clear how that would occur.” Maher mocks sessions by suggesting that “context” is what is important here — like Sessions would want the “freedom” to grab if a pu$$y was falling off a cliff — without all that “political correctness” mumbo-jumbo.

Then there’s Sean Spicer and Kellyanne Conway — the West Wing’s “Flowers in the Attic” as Maher put it. After being locked up by Trump, they are now crazy too. They might pale in comparison to Stephen Miller, who not only kisses Trump’s posterior, but kisses those who kisses his.

We haven’t even gotten to Reince Priebus.

I’ll leave that to Maher in his excellent commentary on Trump only being able to function because of these power hungry, morally depraved enablers. Check it out below:
