Just when we thought today could not be more surreal, we stand corrected. A sinkhole opened up in front of Mar-a-Logo, Trump’s self-described “Southern White House.”

The Washington Post reports this afternoon that Palm Beach town officials have posted about the sinkhole:
“A 4′ x 4′ sinkhole has formed on Southern Boulevard directly in front of Mar-a-Lago,” the alert read. “It appears to be in the vicinity of the newly installed water main. West Palm Beach Utilities distribution crews have secured the area and will most likely need to do some exploratory excavation today.”
Sinkhole news instantly ensued on Twitter, with new theories about what the sinkhole could possibly mean metaphorically given the context of the whirlwind of chaotic news about Trump’s first overseas trip to Saudi Arabia intermingled with news about the serious investigations into Trump and his associates here at home.
@townpalmbeach Is this an actual sinkhole or a metaphorical one?

He may not have done something catastrophic across the globe (yet), but the timing of this sinkhole serves as a possible portent, in a darkly humorous way. On the other hand, it might just be an omen that Florida is subject to sinkholes, or possibly nature’s response to Trump’s denial of climate change? Climate change has been pointed out to increase the number of sinkholes, after all.
It could also be a sign that “draining the swamp” might be in order for nature and Congress both! Representative Ted Lieu just introduced “The Swamp Act,” or the “Stop Waste And Misuse by the President Act of 2017.” He’s leading the charge to make Trump reimburse the taxpayers for all the federal funds spent on his commercial properties, including Mar-a-Lago.

Seems Trump touching that orb wasn’t such a great idea!

Trump starts fucking with mystical orbs and the next day a sinkhole opens in front of Mar-a-Lago. He has no idea what he's unleashed.

Is it a sign from above?
"Give us a sign, God."

Time to drain the swamp. Let’s start at Trump’s country club. Seems like the perfect spot.

Will Sean Spicer present us with the usual “alternative facts?”
Sean Spicer wants to make it very clear there is NOT a sinkhole in front of Mar-A-Lago…
It is a Florida Swamp Center.

A first time for everything?

Maybe this is simply pointing to what’s really going down the drain?

Could it be….a “hellmouth” to commemorate day 122? It seems strangely fitting.
