The White House’s response to white supremacists wreaking violence and havoc in Charlottesville, Va. was weak. But Sen. Marco Rubio’s was spot on.
The outbreak of violence and hate that has engulfed the small town of Charlottesville, Va. is an inevitable consequence of the new ugly America that has emerged since the presidential election. In fact, one person was killed and 19 injured as a caravan of cars plowed into a group of counter-protesters at a white supremacist rally on Saturday afternoon. Authorities said one car appeared to strike two other vehicles, sending protesters flying onto their windshields.
And even though Trump takes great pride in blasting “Radical Islamic Terrorists” at any given chance, he has yet to label the alt-right racists as radical domestic terrorists. In fact, his rebuke of the racial violence erupting in Charlottesville started out as semi-presidential, only to quickly devolve into the kinds of remarks we expect from him.
Am in Bedminster for meetings & press conference on V.A. & all that we have done, and are doing, to make it better-but Charlottesville sad!

With the exception of his favorite phrase “sad,” he accidentally sounded semi-presidential. Then came Donald Trump’s statement during his press conference at his golf resort in Bedminster, N.J.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides. It has been going on for a long time in our country — not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. It has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America.”
Many sides? Really??
Marco Rubio calls out white supremacists in Charlottesville.
Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) directly called out the racist perpetrators at the violent “Unite the Right” rally in Virginia.

Although Marco Rubio has shown himself to be a craven coward who kisses up to the Koch brothers for their campaign cash, he’s often shown strength and leadership in the face of the overwhelming chaos and racial tensions that Trump has brought to our once-proud nation
