Ever since the firing of Bill O’ Reilly and the death of longtime Fox News president Roger Ailes, the state-sponsored news network has been in sort of a tailspin. And judging by the rise of MSNBC’s Rachael Maddow, things are getting much better.
It seems many Fox News reporters are growing increasingly tired of Trump puppet Sean Hannity and his never-ending stupid conspiracy theories. Hannity has been promoting a totally unproven conspiracy theory regarding the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich. The consensus among hosts is that Hannity is “embarrassing” the network, and the promotion of the Rich conspiracy theory is needlessly cruel to a grieving family
ARE WE STILL AIRING THAT SHIT?!” one Fox News political reporter, who says they are furious that the conservative cable-news giant is entertaining the conspiracy theory, messaged The Daily Beast when informed of recent coverage
Hannity has been convincing not so bright Trump voters that the Clinton’s people had Seth Rich, 27, murdered because he allegedly had contact with WikiLeaks. Of course no real evidence exists supporting the theory–outside conspiratorial chatter from trolls and Julian Assange–and Washington, D.C. police suspected that Rich was killed last summer in a botched robbery in the neighborhood.
Even as the story continues to fall apart, the Trump cheerleader continues to give it coverage as though it were the next Benghazi. And you know it;s bad when even Fox news reporters are all like “dude, we just work with him but that’s it.”
