Republicans Have Quietly Removed Pre-Existing Condition Promise From Platform

Republicans selling out their constituency to the insurance agencies.

Republicans have repeatedly sidestepped the truth with deception. Instead of an outright lie, they tell a half-truth. Replacing ObamaCare (ACA) with TrumpCare (ACHA) has got to represent their crowning achievement in how to dupe your constituents while guaranteeing bigger profits for your sponsors. They have repeatedly assured voters that the signature component of ObamaCare, coverage for pre-existing conditions, would be included in the new GOP-sponsored American Health Care Act (AHCA) bill. What they neglected to clarify, until today, is that they ignored the second, and most important part of that promise, at no additional charge.

The missing couple of words makes all of the difference

See the difference. Coverage for pre-existing conditions is indeed in the bill but with no protection from prohibitively costly premiums. Which effectively translates into no coverage for the average American.

Waiver in TrumpCare allowing state’s to charge more for pre-existing conditions

What’s even more mind-boggling than the outright deception of Republicans is that for 8 years they’ve been saying how bad ObamaCare is and that their replacement would better and cost less. But now that they have an opportunity to actually do what they said they would, all they’ve done is gut what’s good about ObamaCare, charged more for what’s left and exempted themselves from their bad decisions. While the cost is increasing and the coverage decreasing, the list of pre-existing conditions has grown exponentially.

Here is a partial list of those conditions:

David Packman wonders if TrumpCare was hastily put together. Another question is why would they need to put something together quickly? Shouldn’t they already have a replacement ready to go? Republicans voted over 60 times to repeal ObamaCare. Senator Cruz even spearheaded a costly government shutdown attempting to do so. If they had no replacement health care bill during all that time, then their motives come into question.

Were they just grandstanding or trying to undermine the achievements of America’s for African American president?

Packman explores the fact that the Republicans have quietly removed their promise from their website:
