Joe Scarborough tore into Republicans in the House of Representatives over passing their absurd “healthcare” bill last week. Not for celebrating early or for having such a difficult time passing it. He hit them where it counts: right in the Christianity. And Joe Scarborough happens to be a former Congressman and a registered Republican.
There is something inherently wrong with claiming to be a Christian while also voting to strip health care from millions in order to give the wealthy nearly a trillion dollars. Joe Scarborough had no problem calling it like he sees it either. In fact, he made mention of the book of Matthew. The particular chapter and verses basically said treat the least of us as you would treat Jesus Christ. If this is how House Republicans would treat Jesus Christ, you really have to wonder if they are actually Christian at all.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'”
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'”
Moderate Muslims say that Muslim extremists and terrorists aren’t true Muslims. Isn’t it about time Christians got a little more vocal in calling out these very un-Christian policymakers on what they aren’t? Are they really Christians? Or are they extremists that are usurping the religion of others in order to manipulate them into buying their bullshit?
It looks like Joe Scarborough, a Christian Republican, called it. We certainly hope he isn’t the last. If you are a Christian, perhaps it’s time you stand up and call it like you see it, too. Check out his tactful call out below.
