New Video Confirms Everything You Suspect About Donald Trump’s Ties To Russia And More (Video)

Just when you thought the evidence for Donald Trump's ties to Russia couldn't get any more damning, CNN ups the ante with a new video.

Just when you thought the evidence for Donald Trump’s ties to Russia couldn’t get any more damning, CNN ups the ante with a new video.

On Saturday, The New York Times reported on Donald Trump Jr. bizarrely releasing emails that all but prove the Trump campaign was colluding with agents of the Kremlin. In the emails, he eagerly agreed to meet with a Russian lawyer after a go-between promised she had dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Now, CNN’s got hold of a video with the GOP’s president schmoozing over dinner with the same men who helped set up that meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and Natalia Veselnitskaya. The footage is from shortly before the 2013 Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas, where the elder Trump announced the Miss Universe pageant would be held in Moscow.

The footage clearly reveals Donald Trump’s ties to Russia as he engages in a lively conversation with Russian pop star Emin Agalarov, his father Aras, and Emin’s publicist Rob Goldstone. Aras is a billionaire with links to Vladimir who has partnered with Donald Trump in real estate deals, and Emin is a known agent for the Kremlin. The Agalarovs also were instrumental

CNN also observes the video sheds light on the nature of Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.

The video, obtained by CNN in the wake of the email disclosures, offers fresh insights into the warm relationship between Trump and the Agalarovs, which has been widely reported because Aras Agalarov and Emin Agalarov inked a multi-million dollar deal with Trump to bring the Miss Universe pageant to Moscow in 2013.

Although we don’t see the younger Trump, we do see a couple familiar faces: Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen and Keith Schiller, who now directs operations in the Oval Office, are also present. Because the problem’s not just Donald Trump’s ties to Russia. As POLITICO diagrammed extensivelyhas , many of those who serve in his administration also have ties to Russia.

Amusingly, the video footage abounds with classic Trumpish moments, like when he meets Emin Algarov’s mother and sister and exclaims:

“Whoa, look at this! Now I’m glad we’re going to dinner. What a beautiful mother you have! Well, you produce good-looking stuff, right? Beautiful stuff.”

He later brags about how the previous owners of the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants “didn’t know what they were doing.” But since he took over, the pageants are YOOGE.

“Miss Universe now is, in the whole world, because you know it’s, like the Super Bowl is a watched, but outside the United States, nobody watches it, it’s one of the largest, I think top three broadcasts in the world.”

The video also caught Trump on stage at the red carpet event calling the Agalarovs “the most powerful people in all of Russia, the richest men in Russia.” Another clip shows him talking about how great Russia is and how he hopes his beauty pageant will thaw our relationship with them.

“It really is a great country. It’s a very powerful country that we have a relationship with, but I would say not a great relationship, and I would say this can certainly help that relationship. I think it’s very important,”

He then continued laying it on thick, as if Donald Trump’s Russian ties are a form of diplomacy.

“I have great respect for Russia. And to have the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow, in the most important location, the most beautiful building, in your convention center, with such amazing partners, I mean it’s going to be fantastic for détente, or whatever you want to say. I think it’s a great thing for both countries, and honestly they really wanted it in Russia — badly. … Politically they wanted it.”

Over the years, the Trump and Agalarov families have seemed awfully chummy. But now, of course, they claim otherwise.

Watch: CNN’s damning video reveals Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.

The Magnitsky Act imposed sanctions on Russia for human rights violations. It was named after Sergei Magnitsky, who was detained, tortured, and killed after alleging that the Russian mob and Russian state officials had laundered money.  Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) , the ranking Democrat on the Senate’s foreign relations committee and author of the Magnitsky Act flatly told CNN’s Jake Tapper there’s “no question” that Natalia Veselnitskaya works for Vladimir Putin and has aggressively lobbied to have U.S. sanctions removed. Unfortunately, she doesn’t appear to have dished the dirt Donald Trump Jr. had hoped for.
