Debunking The Murder Conspiracy Theories Surrounding Hillary Clinton

Recently, Hillary Clinton has been at the center of a conspiracy theory alleging that she is behind the murder of four detractors and political opponents in the span of six weeks.

According to the conspiracy propaganda website WhatDoesItMean.com, John Ashe, a former President of the United Nations General Assembly, was said to be scheduled to testify against Hillary Clinton the day after he died at his home in Dobbs Ferry, New York on June 22, 2016 of suffocation from a weightlifting accident, age 61. However, the U.S. District Attorney for the Southern District of New York said that Hillary Clinton had nothing to do with his court case, which was related to him having used his position to procure lucrative investments in Antigua for Macao real estate developer Ng Lap Seng, for which he was alleged to have stood to collect $1.3 million dollars in exchange.

Seth Conrad Rich, 27, a Democratic National Committee staffer, was shot and killed in Washington D.C. in the early morning hours of July 10, 2016. Though conspiracy theorists alleged that he was en route to a meeting with the FBI to discuss election fraud on Hillary Clinton’s part, Rich actually was on the phone with his girlfriend shortly before he was killed and was reported to have said to her that he was on his way home.

When Victor Thorn, a writer for The American Free Press who published criticism of Bill and Hillary Clinton, conspiracy theories and Holocaust denial propaganda was reported to have taken his life at his home in Pennsylvania on August 1, 2016, conspiracy theorists claimed that Hillary Clinton in fact ordered that he be killed. However, The American Free Press, labeled as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, does not have the same traction in the American media landscape as Fox News or CNN, thus it is doubtful that Hillary Clinton would have viewed a penny-ante crank like Victor Thorn as a serious threat.

In July 2016, Shawn Lucas was captured in a viral video serving a lawsuit to the Democratic National Committee. On August 2, 2016, he was found dead in the bathroom of his home in Washington, D.C. As of this writing, his death is still under investigation by the Washington D.C. Medical Examiner’s office. Though conspiracy theorists claim that he was murdered under order of Hillary Clinton, they have not yet provided concrete evidence linking Hillary to his death, nor any plausible explanation why she would have anything to gain by having a process server retroactively murdered, as process servers are not called as witnesses in lawsuits, but are merely messengers who carry and present the paperwork.

As such, upon closer examination, the claims that Hillary Clinton had four people murdered in less than two months are predicated as coincidences being passed of as proof and therefore are patently invalid.
